Fit Body Boot Camp in Minneapolis Throws Charity Anniversary Party at Local Venue to Celebrate Its Successful First Year of Operation

To celebrate their first year of being open, the Fit Body Boot Camp in Minneapolis is throwing a one year anniversary party at the popular local night venue, The Pourhouse, on October 12, 2013.

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) October 05, 2013 - Fit Body Boot Camp in Minneapolis is making its contributions to help keep Minneapolis the fittest city in the country. Since opening on October 8, 2012, with the combination of short, fat-burning group personal training and nutrition counseling, gym owners Jon Cookle and Sofia Laasiri have helped nearly 500 people in the Twin Cities lose more than 3,200 pounds.

To celebrate the success of their accomplishments, Fit Body Boot Camp Minneapolis is getting ready to launch their one year anniversary party on October 12th, 2013 at a popular local nightclub called The Pourhouse from 10pm until 2am.

A complimentary drink will be given to those who bring in a pair of gently used sneakers, which will be donated to the Salvation Army. There will also be a chance to meet the owners and staff, ask questions, and register for drawings to win prizes, including a one-year membership valued at $2436.00.

In order to encourage more of the community to give fitness boot camps a try, Fit Body Boot Camp Minneapolis is offering one month of unlimited sessions for $97. From there, clients can choose other packages, which includes nutrition counseling and more.

Cookle and Laasiri’s success comes from the "After Burn effect," which gym members go into after completing a 30-minute workout, consisting of light cardio and High-Intensity Interval Training. Members of the Minneapolis boot camp go through a series of various exercises for 30 seconds over the course of 30 minutes, which includes a warm-up and cool down. Similar to circuit training, the Fit Body Boot Camp model takes it a step further by continuously putting the body through muscle confusion and challenging its clients with a different workout every day.

Going only three days a week can reap big results. David, a member since October 2013, has lost nearly 100 pounds. Tarrah, another member, has lost more than 40 pounds since joining in May 2013. Members who have achieved success attribute it to the group setting. The small gym of approximately 120 members have become a close-knit community who help one another stay accountable to keep showing up -- and ultimately, getting healthier.

Fit Body Boot Camp Minneapolis prescribes to its members a High Intensity Interval Training method that doesn't wreak havoc on the joints like other top-trending fitness fads. Resistance training happens with simple equipment including TRX cables, BOSU balls, hand weights, sliders, and resistance bands all while utilizing the gym members’ natural body weight. Cookle and Laasiri have even invested in Tiffin mats; three-inch mats that absorb the shock of the challenging boot camp workouts, in order to help their members preserve their bodies.
