Robeks Adds Seasonal Juices Timed to Fall Harvest

October 08, 2013 // Franchising.com // LOS ANGELES - Premium smoothie and juice franchise Robeks is taking its cues from the harvest schedule as it rolls out four fresh seasonal menu items for fall.

Starting October 14th, the company’s more than 100 locations will feature new fresh-squeezed raw juices and a raw smoothie that use grapes and kiwi. Both fruits are in season, so they are at their peak in terms of both flavor and nutrition.

"Robeks customers want food that is fresh and at its absolute peak, and these seasonal menu items let us bring our customers as close to the fields as possible," CEO Steve Davidson said. "Robeks never uses preservatives, so we often freeze ripe fruits and vegetables to preserve flavor and nutrition. The great thing about seasonal items is that they don’t even need to be frozen — they are as fresh as if you had picked them off the vine yourself."

The seasonal items are:

Crisp Kiwi: A sweet and mild juice made with kiwi, parsley, apple and cucumber.

Fall Harvest: A nutrient-rich juice that is earthy and bold; made with grapes, parsley, kale, apple, carrot and beet.

Sweet Sunshine: A raw smoothie made with fresh parsley, fresh grapes, frozen pineapple and apple juice

Fresh Parsley & Fresh Grapes Shot: A fresh-squeezed juice shot full of antioxidants, vitamin A and vitamin C. The perfect addition to any order.

The new items build upon the huge menu of fresh-squeezed juice items that Robeks customers enjoy, including carrots, apples, cucumber, beets, celery, spinach, kale, ginger and cayenne pepper — in addition to the company’s menu of healthy and tasty smoothies.

Seasonal items pair well with new nut clusters

The seasonal items pair well with four other additions — nut clusters made with honey, maple syrup, flax seeds and the following listed ingredients. The Mixed Medley cluster (granola, cranberries, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds) echoes the full-bodied flavor of Fall Harvest; All Nut Cluster (almonds, cashews, pecan) pairs well with Sweet Sunshine; and Blueberry Cluster (blueberries, sliced almonds, cashews) has notes of sweetness that compliment Crisp Kiwi. Additionally, the new Robeks Decadent Dark Chocolate Cluster (almonds, cashews and walnuts with dark chocolate drizzle) offers a richness that works with any of the new items to treat the entire palate.
