East Coast Sensation Opens First DeKalb Location

Owner Celebrates Grand Opening with Free Subs

October 10, 2013 // Franchising.com // DeKalb, IL - Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled Jersey Shore-style subs, officially opened its doors in DeKalb on October 2. Franchise owner Todd Shaw held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, October 2 to Sunday, October 6 to support the DeKalb Fire Department.

The new restaurant, located at 103 N. Annie Glidden Road, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to the DeKalb Fire Department.

Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's continued its steady growth in 2012 opening 92 new restaurants throughout the country, a 33 percent increase in new store growth over 2011.
