Owners Celebrate Grand Opening with Free Subs

October 10, 2013 // Franchising.com // Las Vegas, NV - Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled Jersey Shore-style subs, officially opened its doors in Las Vegas on October 9. Franchise owners Bill, Leslie, Corey, and Sean Mapes held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, October 9 to Sunday, October 13 to support Opportunity Village.

The new restaurant, located at 7390 S Las Vegas Boulevard, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to Opportunity Village.

Opportunity Village is a not-for-profit organization that serves people in the Southern Nevada community with intellectual disabilities, to enhance their lives and the lives of the families who love them. Opportunity Village is dedicated to helping people with severe intellectual and related disabilities become the very best they can be. Through vocational training, community employment, day services, advocacy, arts and social recreation, citizens with severe disabilities are able to find new friends, realize future career paths, seek independence and community integration and unleash creative passions.

Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's continued its steady growth in 2012 opening 92 new restaurants throughout the country, a 33 percent increase in new store growth over 2011.

This is the 14th Jersey Mike’s location for the Mapes family. In April 2008, they opened their first Jersey Mike’s location in Tempe, Arizona. They own three Jersey Mike’s locations in Las Vegas as well as ten locations in Arizona.
