Dickey’s Barbecue Celebrates New Glenview Location

Authentic Texas Barbecue Comes to Chicago Area

GLENVIEW, Ill. - October 15, 2013 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Glenview is throwing a three-day party from Friday, October 18 through Sunday, October 20. On Saturday, Roland Dickey, chairman of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, will be stopping by to give away copies of his book, "Mr. Dickey’s Barbecue Cookbook."

"I was introduced to Dickey’s Barbecue while in Dallas and couldn’t wait to bring it to Glenview," said franchise owner Jordan Lisitza. "I know the local community will appreciate the authentic Texas barbecue and family friendly atmosphere."

Lisitza is from the Chicago area and has worked as a broker for the Chicago Mercantile Exchange for the last 30 years. Friday, October 18:

The first 50 dine-in customers will receive a Dickey’s Barbecue gift card for up to $50. The next 100 customers will receive a free meal plate voucher with a purchase of a drink.

Saturday, October 19:

The celebration continues with $2 Pulled Pork Big Barbecue sandwiches and a special appearance by Roland Dickey who will be giving away 100 free cookbooks. Radio station 96.3 FM and Special Olympics of Illinois will also be on site from noon to 2 p.m. Nice Dogs for Nice Families Animal Shelter will be hosting a pet adoption event starting at noon.

Sunday, October 20:

Customers with enjoy a day full of merchandise giveaways and Kids Eat Free with purchase of an adult meal.
