Dickey’s Barbecue Pit Opens Hanford Location

Nation’s Largest Barbecue Franchise Opens New California Location

HANFORD, Calif. - October 14, 2013 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Dickey’s Barbecue continues growth in California. On Thursday, October 17 at 11:00 a.m. the new location in Hanford will open for business. The first 50 dine-in customers will receive a Dickey’s Barbecue gift card loaded with up to $50. The Texas-sized opening celebration continues for three days.

“We’re looking forward to bringing mouthwatering barbecue to central California,” said local franchise owner Kevin Roche. “People love the food and family friendly atmosphere at Dickey’s Barbecue and we are excited to celebrate with the community.”

Friday the fun continues with a day full of merchandise giveaways. The celebration wraps up Saturday with an event with radio station 102.7 and $2 Pulled Pork Big Barbecue sandwiches from noon to 2:00 p.m. Three winners will be chosen for a $500 gift card good at any Dickey’s Barbecue Pit location.

Partners Kevin Roche and Bryan Roche are centering their development plans in Fresno, Clovis and Hanford. They’re also looking at sites around Seaside and Santa Maria. The partners plan to open 18 new locations over the next few years. Dickey’s Barbecue currently has 36 locations in California with another 18 now in development.
