Fit Body Boot Camp in Brea to Host "Burpees for Boobies Burpee-a-thon" Fundraiser to Challenge Members & Support Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The popular Brea boot camp known as Fit Body Boot Camp is gearing up to host a fitness competition called "Burpees for Boobies Burpee-a-thon" in order to challenge their members and support breast cancer research.

Brea, CA (PRWEB) October 19, 2013 - The Fit Body Boot Camp in Brea has just announced their plans to launch a "Burpees for Boobies Burpee-a-thon" fundraiser that’s designed to challenge members and raise money for the non-profit breast cancer awareness and research organization, Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

On November 2nd at 9 am, Brea Fit Body Boot Camp will launch their "Burpees for Boobies Burpee-a-thon" at their 570 W. Lambert Rd #H, Brea, CA fitness studio. Much like a traditional walk-a-thon fundraiser, this burpee-a-thon will require participants to find sponsors to either donate a fixed amount or a "per burpee" donation. During the fundraiser, those who are sponsored will attempt to perform as many burpees as they can in a 3.5 minute period in order to raise money for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Owners of the Brea Fit Body Boot Camp (and also Chino Hills Fit Body Boot Camp location), John and Cara Eckerman, say they were compelled to help support October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month because they, and members of both boot camps, have been personally affected by the disease. By launching "Burpees for Boobies Burpee-a-thon", the Eckermans hope spread awareness surrounding breast cancer and prevention and raise funds for research.

They explain, "We chose to raise money for breast cancer awareness and research because we've had several members diagnosed with breast cancer during the past few years in our Brea and Chino Hills Fit Body Boot Camps. We wanted to come up with a fun way to raise money and I think we have. Our goal is to raise $2,000 during this event."

Fit Body Boot Camp Brea and Chino Hills is open six days a week, Monday through Friday, with varying session times.
