Goderich Fitness Centre Known as Fit Body Boot Camp Celebrates Thanksgiving by Giving Back to the Community

Fit Body Boot Camp, a local Goderich fitness centre, gives their thanks by hosting a Thanksgiving Boot Camp Food Drive.

Goderich, ON, CAN (PRWEB) October 22, 2013 - On Saturday, October 12th at 10 am, the Goderich fitness centre known as Fit Body Boot Camp celebrated Thanksgiving by hosting a charity boot camp workout to benefit local food banks. Participants in the fitness food drive brought in non-perishable food items to be donated in exchange for a free 45 minute boot camp workout.

Inspired by recent news of the lack of food for local area food banks, Goderich (and Kincardine) Fit Body Boot Camp felt that it was important to help spread awareness about the issue while also helping the community to get a great workout.

Owner and operator of the Goderich gym, Nadine VandenHeuvel, explains, "A few weeks ago, I was reading in my local newspaper that the Food Banks were at an extreme low and with Thanksgiving coming up I knew I had to do something to help out my communities. I also thought an outdoor charity boot camp workout on Thanksgiving weekend would be a great idea because people are all home and looking to do stuff together as a family."

Collecting well over 400 food items with over 80 locals who came out to participate, Fit Body Boot Camp’s Thanksgiving Charity Boot Camp Food Drive was deemed a huge success and the areas biggest fitness boot camp workout ever.

Goderich Fit Body Boot Camp is also showing their support for breast cancer awareness and research by offering their very popular 14 Day Fat Furnace, normally priced at $67, discounting it to $25 and donating all proceeds the Canadian Breast Cancer Society.
