The 13th Annual Buddy Walk to Benefit the Down Syndrome Association of Houston is a Huge Success Assisted by ANY LAB TEST NOW® Which Sponsored Team Lyndon Lovers

(PRWEB) November 18, 2013 - On Saturday, November 9, 2013, the Down Syndrome Association of Houston (DSAH) held its 13th Annual Buddy Walk to support its largest Down Syndrome Awareness event. Over 10,000 attendees and 9,528 walkers joined together in 324 teams to raise over $274,000 to benefit the local Houston Down Syndrome community. The DSAH provides numerous programs including Camps, Community Groups, Conferences, Education for Life, Gymboree, Parents Night Out, Smart Start, Special Olympics and family events like The Gathering of Friends.

ANY LAB TEST NOW® was proud to sponsor Team Lyndon Lovers. Lyndon is the grandson of ANY LAB TEST NOW’s Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Terri McCulloch. ANY LAB TEST NOW®’s participation will help to create awareness of Down Syndrome so that those with an additional 21st chromosome will have brighter lives and the resources to become an integral part of Houston’s wonderfully diverse community. The contribution of the Lyndon Lovers Team continues the work of DSAH to provide programs, education and activities for its more than 1,800 members of all ages.

"We did not know Lyndon had Down Syndrome until he was born, so were unprepared for all the challenges this baby faced, as well as his parents," stated Terri McCulloch on behalf of ANY LAB TEST NOW. "The Down Syndrome Society was such an integral resource for my daughter, helping her find tools and providing information assistance to overcome challenges that most of us don’t even think about. Examples are understanding the need for physical, speech and other therapies; what to expect from a development aspect; and special needs benefits. With the support of the company I work for, we are honored to give back to the community who has been there to help both my family, as well as other families raising children with Down Syndrome."
