Tin Drum Asiacafé Opens First Cobb County Unit

Fresh Casual Chain Continues Georgia Expansion

November 19, 2013 // Franchising.com // ATLANTA – Fresh casual cuisine is in high demand as demonstrated by Tin Drum Asiacafé’s newest franchised opening in Marietta, Georgia in the Barrett Creek Plaza shopping center. The 1800 square foot unit, which is the first in Cobb County will open the week of Nov. 24. The unit will be operated by franchisee Hamad Mazhir, who already owns the downtown Atlanta – Georgia State University Tin Drum.

Barrett Creek Plaza, which was recently sold to a Miami-based private investor for $7.8 million, is located at 125 Earnest Barrett Parkway across from Super Wal-Mart and Publix-anchored centers as well in close proximity to the 1.2 million-square-foot Town Center at Cobb Mall which features Belk, JCPenney, Macy’s and Sears.

"Cobb County needed a Tin Drum," said Mazhir, "The success this franchise has seen across the southeast, but especially in Georgia, is all the confirmation we needed to pursue this newest location. We are looking forward to introducing the area to fresh, authentic Pan Asian cuisine in laid back, fast casual environment."

Tin Drum Asiacafé was recently named one of QSR Magazine’s 2013 Best Franchise Deals – touted as a "Hungry Upstart" with unique street-inspired Pan Asian cuisine, energetic atmosphere and self-ordering kiosks. Redefining traditional fast casual, Tin Drum offers bold flavor profiles, high-quality ingredients and a new level of customization.
