Young Mother Opens Home Helpers of Attleboro, Mass., to Address Need for Dependable In-Home Care

Port Charlotte, FL (PRWEB) December 04, 2013 - After a disappointing experience trying to find dependable home healthcare for loved ones, Gina Mosunic was inspired to open Home Helpers & Direct Link of Attleboro to provide other families in the community with reliable, professional home care they need and deserve.

Mosunic understands what it’s like to entrust a loved one’s care to another. Several years ago, she hired home service workers to help out with her elderly grandmother. She quickly learned they were not trustworthy.

"I found out the people who were caring for my family were just not dependable and couldn’t be counted on to act responsibly when I wasn’t watching them," said Mosunic.

"That’s when I knew something needed to be done to help others like me who needed to be able to count on home healthcare care for their families. I did my homework, and found Home Helpers & Direct Link. I was so convinced they were going about providing home healthcare the right way that I decided to open a franchise in Attleboro."

Mosunic meets with each client and their family in the client’s home to accurately assess their needs and ensure a compatible caregiver match.

"I only hire caregivers whom I would trust to care for my own family," Mosunic said. "All of my caregivers are thoroughly screened, including 7-year criminal background and reference checks, and fully insured by workers’ compensation and unemployment."

Home healthcare is quickly emerging as an affordable, healthy alternative to assisted living and skilled nursing communities. According to the U.S. Census, more than 12,500 Americans turn 60 every day. By 2030, the senior population will double to about 72 million with most needing various levels of assistance.

Home Helpers offers a wide range of services, including companionship, grocery shopping, meal preparation, transportation and assistance with personal hygiene. Direct Link is its line of medical alert systems, including a 24/7 personal emergency response button, an automated medication dispenser and vital signs monitoring units.

"Home Helpers can create a care plan to fit exactly what a person or a family is looking for, especially with the customizable combination of home care and assisted technology," Mosunic said. "And as a person’s needs change, which they will, we’ll be there, too."

Home Helpers of Attleboro operates Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information about how Mosunic and Home Helpers can assist you and your family, visit http://www.AttleboroHomeCare.com, email her at GMosunic@HomeHelpers.CC or call the Attleboro Home Helpers at (508) 455-3885.
