December 5, 2013 - Suffolk, VA - Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled Jersey Shore-style subs, officially opened its doors in Suffolk on December 4. Franchise owners Martin Anderson and Clark Stallings along with manager Michael Stemler held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, December 4 to Sunday, December 8 to support Northern Shores Elementary and the USO of Hampton Roads.
The new restaurant, located at 6216 College Drive, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to Northern Shores Elementary and the USO of Hampton Roads. Customers presented the fundraising coupon to participate.
Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's continued its steady growth in 2012 opening 92 new restaurants throughout the country, a 33 percent increase in new store growth over 2011.
