Christmas Meal Planning Already Underway for Majority of Americans, According to HoneyBaked Survey

New Survey Finds Prep Time Varies by Region and Gender

ATLANTA - Dec. 18, 2013 // PRNewswire // - With just one week to go until Christmas, as Americans rush to complete their holiday to-do lists, they are already preparing for their big holiday meal, according to a recent survey by HoneyBaked*, which found that on average, Americans begin gathering supplies and ingredients seven days in advance of a holiday meal**.

The HoneyBaked survey also found that holiday meal prep time varies by region, as those in the South will take the least amount of time, an average of just over six days, while those in the Northeast will take the longest, an average of almost nine days. Additionally, the survey found that women begin prep more than two days earlier than men.
