Jersey Mike's Subs Opens Fifth Tampa Location

Owner Celebrates Grand Opening with Free Subs

December 18, 2013 - Tampa, FL - Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled Jersey Shore-style subs, officially opened its doors in Tampa on December 11. Franchise owner Mia McClure and manager Don Egnor held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, December 11 to Sunday, December 15 to support Citrus Park Elementary and the Northwest Hillsborough Family YMCA.

To commemorate the event, the new restaurant, located at 6917 Gunn Highway, hosted a 5-day fundraiser with proceeds supporting Citrus Park Elementary and the Northwest Hillsborough Family YMCA. Anyone who had a fundraising coupon received a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution. Ten thousand coupons were distributed throughout the community.

Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's continued its steady growth in 2012 opening 92 new restaurants throughout the country, a 33 percent increase in new store growth over 2011.
