Muscle Shoals Rent-A-Center Franchise to Host "Stuff the Bus" Holiday Toy Donation Event

Local Radio Hosts to Live in Bus Located in Store Parking Lot to Help Raise Awareness for Event

PLANO, Texas - December 17, 2013 – Rent-A-Center Franchising International, Inc., the nation’s first franchisor of independently owned-and-operated rent-to-own stores, announced that its Muscle Shoals, Ala. store located at 1208 Woodward Ave. has teamed with local radio station 102.7 WWFA-FM for the annual "Stuff the Bus" toy drive from Dec. 12-16.

Starting on Thursday, Dec. 12, host Brent Reed of 102.7 WWFA-FM will live in a school bus located in the store’s parking lot until the bus is filled with new, unwrapped donated toys for local residents. Those who bring items to donate will receive $200 off a new rental agreement. Toys can also be dropped off at the Athens, Ala. and Florence, Ala. Rent-A-Center stores.

"Our franchisees care deeply about their communities, which is shown with our participation in the "Stuff the Bus" toy drive," said Rent-A-Center Franchising International, Inc. Senior Vice President Cathy Skula. "During the holiday season, it is important to give back to those less fortunate, and I hope this event will help brighten the holiday for many people."

Reed and other hosts will broadcast live from the bus for 24 hours a day for the entirety of their stay, which will be at least five days. If enough toys are donated to fill the bus before the five days are over, more busses will be brought in to accommodate the additional donations.

In addition to the weeklong event, customers will have the chance to meet and take pictures with Santa Claus on Saturday, Dec. 14, when he will be visiting the Muscle Shoals store at 1208 Woodward Ave. throughout the day.
