Jersey Mike's Subs Opens Second Corona Location

Owners Celebrate With Free Sub Fundraiser

March 26, 2014 // Franchising.com // CORONA, Calif. – Jersey Mike's Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Corona on February 19. Franchise owners Gil and Alexi Rubalcaba held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, February 19 to Sunday, February 23 to support McKinley Elementary School.

The new restaurant, located at 350 N. McKinley Street, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to McKinley Elementary School.

"In less than two years, we've seen firsthand both the growth and loyalty surrounding the Jersey Mike's brand," said Alexi Rubalcaba. "Being a part of this culture and making a difference in our community has been more rewarding than we ever imagined. We can't wait to open our doors in Corona for the second time and give back to McKinley Elementary. The opportunity to serve and contribute in the community where our family lives has been the most gratifying part of owning this business and being a part of Jersey Mike's."

The Rubalcabas are exemplary Jersey Mike's franchise owners who share the company's commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, and who are dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, Jersey Mike's locations throughout the country have raised nearly $7.5 million for worthy local charities and have distributed more than 600,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.

About Jersey Mike's

Started in 1956, Jersey Mike's now has 1,300 restaurants open and under development nationwide. In just three years, the company has nearly doubled in size.

The growth is fueled by passionate Jersey Mike's fans who crave their subs made Mike's Way® with onions, lettuce, tomatoes and a signature olive oil blend, vinegar and spices. The company uses only private labeled meats and cheeses, sliced fresh for each sub sandwich and piled high on in-store baked bread. Everything is quickly made to order for each customer, just the way the first subs were made at the original Jersey Mike's nearly 60 years ago. The Jersey Mike's experience always includes its trademark neighborly banter served up by a high-energy Jersey Mike's team.

This is the third Jersey Mike's location for the Rubalcabas. In September 2012, they opened their first Jersey Mike's location in Eastvale. The Rubalcaba family also owns an additional location in Corona located at 2150 California Avenue.

The restaurant's hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week. You can contact this location directly at (951) 736-6453.
