Armada Health Care Partners with BrightStar Care

FLORHAM PARK, NJ - (Marketwired - Apr 1, 2014) - Armada Health Care (Armada), the nation's largest specialty pharmacy group purchasing organization (GPO), is pleased to announce a new partnership with BrightStar Care, a home care and medical staffing solutions provider. The relationship will further enhance Armada's ability to offer practical solutions to its specialty pharmacy members and manufacturer clients.

The partnership will benefit Armada's member specialty pharmacies by providing them with a national solution for infusion and other in-home nursing services related to the administration of specialty medications. Through Armada's specialty pharmacy GPO program, member pharmacies will have access to preferred rates for a full range of in-home nursing services around the clock. Armada's manufacturer partners will have the opportunity to benefit from enhanced program capabilities and new contracting options from this added service model.

This additional service option fills a great need for pharmacies that may not be equipped to provide in-person, high-touch services to patients at home. Through over 260 BrightStar Care locations nationwide, these providers can incorporate a clinically based model of care that includes director of nursing oversight and patient care provided by RNs, LPNs, and CNAs into their business strategies.
