April 01, 2014 // Franchising.com // CARMEL, Ind. – Jersey Mike's Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Carmel on March 26. Franchise owners Casey and Liz Watson, along with business partner Greg Watson, who is Casey's brother, held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, March 26 to Sunday, March 30 to support Merciful Help Center.
The new restaurant, located at 2271 Pointe Parkway, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to the Merciful Help Center.
"We had been looking into opening a franchise when Casey came across Jersey Mike's," said Liz Watson. "After digging deeper into the brand and the company culture, we came to find that Jersey Mike's was the complete package. Not only does this business turn out an exceptional product, but we also have the opportunity to give back to our local community. From March 26 through March 30 we are raising money for Merciful Help Center as a part of our grand opening celebration. Merciful Help Center is a wonderful organization that serves all of Hamilton County by providing a range of services to community members in need."
Programs that are supported by Merciful Help Center include but are not limited to: food banks, free medical and dental exams, baby supplies for expecting mothers, school supplies, holiday meals, and holiday gifts.
Liz added, "I grew up in New Jersey, so the aroma and taste of an authentic East Coast sub bring back fond childhood memories. We are excited to bring this product and experience to Carmel and we can't wait to open our doors on March 26."
