Jersey Mike's Opens First Fullerton Location
Owner Celebrates With Free Sub Fundraiser
April 01, 2014 // Franchising.com // FULLERTON, Calif. – Jersey Mike's Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Fullerton on March 26. Franchise owner Clarissa Palomaria held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, March 26 to Sunday, March 23 to support Camp Titan.
The new restaurant, located at 2561 E. Chapman Avenue, circulated 50,000 flyers throughout the community. For each offer that is redeemed from the flyers, Jersey Mike's will donate $2 to Camp Titan. The flyers were distributed through direct mail and grass roots marketing efforts.
"Every Jersey Mike's grand opening is a chance to give back to the community," said Palomaria. "For this grand opening in Fullerton we chose to partner with Camp Titan. Camp Titan is an organization that is heavily supported by the Greek organizations at CSUF and we thought this would be a great opportunity for Jersey Mike's to get involved in the cause. At Jersey Mike's we aim to make a difference and we are hopeful that through our five day grand opening fundraiser, we will be able to help fund this awesome summer experience for local children."
Every year Camp Titan sends nearly 150 children on a weeklong trip to the San Bernardino Mountains, at no cost to the camper or his/her family. The goal at Camp Titan is to teach children an appreciation for nature, increase confidence and self-awareness, and of course for the campers to meet new friends.
