Franchise Owner and Area Director Henry Gallo held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Tuesday, April 29, to Sunday, May 4 to support Citymeals-on-Wheels, a non-profit organization that provides meals and companionship to homebound elderly New Yorkers. The new restaurant circulated 12,000 vouchers and business cards throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $2 contribution to Citymeals-on-Wheels. Customers must present the fundraising voucher to participate.

"One of our customers downtown asked, 'Why is everyone so happy?' and that captures the Jersey Mike's experience right there – we love our customers and want each and every one to walk away with a smile and a fantastic sub sandwich."

Additionally, the restaurant will feature a greeter or host, who brings the company's trademark friendly banter to guests. The new location will serve breakfast in addition to lunch and dinner, and will add delivery service shortly. The new location also offers catering.
