Jersey Mike's Subs Opens First Nags Head Location

Owners Celebrate With Free Sub Fundraiser

May 02, 2014 // Franchising.com // Nags Head, NC - Jersey Mike's Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Nags Head on April 30. Franchise owners Shaun Hayman and Lynwood P. Evans held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, April 30 to Sunday, May 4 to support First Flight High School and Manteo High School.

The new restaurant, located at 2424 South Croatan Highway, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to First Flight High School or Manteo High School.

"Lynwood and I both grew up on the Outer Banks so to bring Jersey Mike's to this area is very exciting," said Hayman. "Our goal is simple: to deliver the high quality sub sandwich that Jersey Mike's customers have come to know and love, while upholding a tradition of giving back to the community.

"We're expecting a fun and busy summer as we welcome many seasonal guests to Nags Head. However, we know it's also important to support the local population that keeps this community alive year round. To help celebrate our grand opening, we are raising money for First Flight High School and Manteo High School to help fund student programs and give back locally."

Hayman added, "My family has been in the restaurant business on the Outer Banks for three generations. By opening a Jersey Mike's in Nags Head, I can ensure that my children will have the same opportunity to enjoy this beautiful part of North Carolina for years to come."
