HoneyBaked Makes Mother's Day Easy on Dad and Special for Mom

HoneyBaked Shares Tips for a Convenient, yet Special Mother's Day

ATLANTA - May 8, 2014 // PRNewswire // - Every mom deserves a special day when her family celebrates everything she does. HoneyBaked is proud to make this day memorable for mom while also making it easier for dad. Below are three ways dad can make mom extra happy this Mother's Day, without the hassle of cooking.

"Mother's Day is extra special for me when my family takes the time to provide a wonderful meal," said Maggie DeCan, COO for HoneyBaked.* "Mealtime is something every mom thinks about each day, and we are happy to help dads surprise their wives with a delicious meal this Mother's Day."

  • Tip #1 – Avoid the crowds at breakfast restaurants and enjoy brunch at home

Dads can make this year extra special by staying home and bringing a delicious brunch right to mom! A few slices of Honey Baked Ham® or Bacon featuring HoneyBaked's signature sweet glaze, paired with a slice of Cinnamon Walnut Coffee Cake and assorted fruit is a great way to treat mom.

  • Tip #2 – It's all about presentation!

Since dad doesn't have to worry about cooking with HoneyBaked products, his focus can be on the presentation. A nice new table cloth and a floral centerpiece are two easy ways dads and kids can spruce up the dining room table for mom's big day.

  • Tip #3 – A homemade, simple dessert adds something special to each meal

And finally, HoneyBaked wants to share a signature recipe with dads this Mother's Day. HoneyBaked's Mandarin Pineapple Dream dessert is so simple, anyone can make it at home! Moms everywhere will appreciate the extra effort dad put in to make one handmade dish!

Mandarin Pineapple Dream Recipe
In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients:

    • 1 3/4 cup canned crushed pineapple (drained)
    • 1 3/4 cup of mandarin orange sections (drained)
    • 2 tablespoons shredded coconut, sweetened
    • 3 tablespoons chopped pecans
    • 8 ounces whipped-typed topping

Using a large spoon, mix all ingredients thoroughly. Chill in the refrigerator and serve in a beautiful bowl!

"Mothers always look forward to this special holiday," said Maggie DeCan, COO for HoneyBaked.* "It is important for families to put in the extra effort to make the day exceptional for the moms in their life."
