Opening Teriyaki Madness a Good Fit with Past Brand-Building Experience

Father Goes from Employee to Employer, Acts as Role Model for Son

Pasadena, Calif. (PRWEB) May 19, 2014 - Before becoming a business owner, Russ Thyret worked at a major soft drink company for 19 years, focusing on marketing, promotions and IT support. After considering the possibility of owning his own business for a long time, it was the thought of his 15-year-old son that helped him finalize his decision.

"I realized that being an employer versus an employee is what I wanted to model for my son," Thyret said.

With his background in consumer package goods and food service, Thyret chose to open a Teriyaki Madness restaurant, which is fast casual Asian restaurant. "The business model [of Teriyaki Madness] is fresh, crisp and aligns with my skills of building a brand and executing flawlessly. It was a natural fit."

Thyret's business coach from The Entrepreneur's Source, Ed Echt, identified Guidant Financial as a possible partner to help Thyret convert his 401k into a capital investment for his new Teriyaki Madness franchise. "Guidant held my hand throughout the information process and provided post-funding support," Thyret said.

While being a business owner keeps Thyret busy, he donates his spare time to volunteering with the Pasadena Tournament of Roses and supporting his local community.

The Pasadena location of Teriyaki Madness, located at 105 N. Hill Ave., is now open to the public. To learn more about this location of Teriyaki Madness, email russthyret@crown-city.com or call 626-744-1500.
