Jersey Mike's Subs Opens First Ann Arbor Location

Owner Celebrates With Free Sub Fundraiser

June 23, 2014 - Ann Arbor, MI - Jersey Mike's Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Ann Arbor on June 18. Franchise owner and area director Peter Shipman, manager Mike Wagner, and assistant manager Jacob Happy held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, June 18 to Sunday, June 22 to support Pioneer High School Athletics and Alpha House.

The new restaurant, located at 2561 Jackson Avenue, circulated 15,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to Pioneer High School Athletics or Alpha House.

"We're thrilled to bring Jersey Mike's to the east side of Ann Arbor and introduce our product, brand, and experience to a new group of customers," said Shipman. "At Jersey Mike's it is always tradition to kick off the grand opening with a fundraiser to benefit the community. We're working with Pioneer High School Athletics as well as Alpha House to give back to different members of our community. Pioneer High School is located near our shop and our managers Mike and Jacob actually went to Pi High. It's always a neat thing to give back to schools and organizations that mean something to our employees. By raising money for Alpha House we can provide assistance for displaced families when they need help the most."

Shipman added, "As we continue to build more Jersey Mike's in the area, we're bringing our company culture of making a difference to a larger group of people. We're excited to get this Ann Arbor location open and we look forward to serving up the authentic Jersey Mike's experience."
