Irvine Fitness Boot Camp Owner Says Recent Expansion Is Indicative of a Change in the Way People Approach Fitness

Fitness boot camp owner Steve Hochman says that people are more serious about getting fit and changing the way they go about doing it.

Irvine, CA (PRWEB) July 05, 2014 - Steve Hochman, owner of Irvine Fit Body Boot Camp, says the boot camp just finished expanding its facility by more than 3000 square feet, due to a dramatic increase in membership. He says the fact that the fitness boot camp has grown so significantly (there are five locations in the area) is evidence that people are getting serious about changing their lives and also changing the way they do that.

"People are figuring out that the usual means of trying to get fit aren't working for them," he explains. "People are tired of wandering around the gym for an hour, doing a little of this and a little of that and not seeing any significant results."

Hochman explains that today's overcommitted and overscheduled lifestyles are partly to blame for the current rates of obesity, metabolic syndrome and Type 2 diabetes, and that those same busy lifestyles leave little time for people to figure out how to get fit on their own.

"We're all busier than we've ever been, I think," says Hochman. "People are working incredible hours, plus taking care of their families and staying involved in their communities. Unfortunately, this means people are eating out more, not eating properly and not sparing much time for working out."

He adds that the people who work out at Irvine Fit Body Boot Camp or one of its other Orange County locations often talk about being frustrated and disillusioned about the time they spent at other gyms, without a real plan and without any real guidance.

"Most people don't know exactly what they need to do to change their bodies and their health," he explains. "Most of our clients also tell us that they had a lot of trouble keeping themselves motivated and on track. But they couldn't afford to have their own personal trainer, either."

He explains that because the boot camp addresses all of these issues, it will soon become the most common way for people to work out. "With the workout, people have the benefit of a personal trainer right there, guiding them during their workouts, measuring and tracking their progress and helping them with individual issues. But because it's a group setting, they don't have to pay personal trainer prices."

He adds that the group environment is a huge part of the boot camp's appeal and effectiveness. "With a fitness boot camp, there's a real sense of community and teamwork."

Hochman says that the intense, multi-purpose workouts are also a huge draw. "People know enough to know that they need cardio and strength training, but they don't have time to spend a couple hours a day at the gym to get it in. We combine high intensity cardio with functional strength training and get people in and out in forty-five minutes."

"People come in for our specials, like our 21-Days for $29 special, and they stay for good. They don't want to go back to the anonymity and lack of direction they had at other gyms and they get such great results here they see no reason to."
