July 8, 2014 - Seattle, WA - Jersey Mike's Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in downtown Seattle on July 2. Franchise owner Vernon Ameen, along with operating partners Sean and Krista Kanter, held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, July 2 to Wednesday, July 9 to support the Alliance for Education.
The new restaurant, located at 1418 First Avenue, circulated 7,500 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to the Alliance for Education.
"Eight years ago, I tried Jersey Mike's for the first time and immediately connected with the authentic East Coast flavor," said Ameen. "Now we have the great opportunity to take part in the growth of the Jersey Mike's brand and introduce our product to downtown Seattle."
Ameen added, "At Jersey Mike's we're committed to creating a quality experience from start to finish by providing excellent customer service and, of course, an excellent sub sandwich. We also aim to make a difference for our community outside of the four walls of our shop. For our grand opening we are hosting a week long fundraiser to benefit the Alliance for Education. We believe in supporting youth-focused programs and organizations and we plan to build many community partnerships throughout the years."
