July 10, 2014 - Chesapeake, VA - Jersey Mike's Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Chesapeake on July 9. Franchise owners Martin Anderson and Clark Stallings, along with restaurant operator Richard Farrell, held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, July 9 to Sunday, July 13 to support Honor and Remember.
The new restaurant, located at 2400 Chesapeake Square Ring Road, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to Honor and Remember.
"We're very excited to join the Chesapeake community," said Farrell. "We are surrounded by so many great people and businesses and we're thankful for the opportunity to serve our product here. I'd also like to thank our fantastic team for all of their hard work in making this grand opening possible. We are very lucky to have a group of talented and passionate individuals to work with every day."
Farrell added, "As a part of our commitment to serving our customers and community, we will be teaming up with Honor and Remember for a five day grand opening fundraiser. Honor and Remember is a wonderful organization that provides support for the families of fallen service members. Our goal is to continue making a difference by fostering many community partnerships within the area."
