July 24, 2014 // Franchising.com // Dublin, CA - Jersey Mike's Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Dublin on July 16. First friends and now business partners, David, Cody, and Bennett Ball, and Michael and Beverly Mills, held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, July 16 to Sunday, July 20 to support Police and Fire: The Fallen Heroes.
The new restaurant, located at 3740 Fallon Road, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to The Fallen Heroes.
"We are so fortunate to take part in developing the Jersey Mike's brand in the Bay Area," said Bennett Ball. "The opportunity to open our doors in Dublin is very exciting for us and we look forward to serving and supporting this community. To kick-off our opening we are teaming up with The Fallen Heroes. The Fallen Heroes is a local organization that was founded in 2009 and is committed to supporting the families of police officers and firefighters who paid the ultimate sacrifice while protecting their communities. We could not think of a better way to give back to our community than by partnering with those who serve to protect us each and every day."
The Ball and Mills families are exemplary Jersey Mike's franchise owners who share the company's commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, and who are dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, Jersey Mike's locations throughout the country have raised nearly $10 million for worthy local charities and have distributed more than 750,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.
Started in 1956, Jersey Mike's now has 1,300 restaurants open and under development nationwide. In just three years, the company has nearly doubled in size. A 2014 Technomic report ranked Jersey Mike's in the top five fastest-growing restaurant chains with sales above $200 million.
The growth is fueled by passionate Jersey Mike's fans who crave their subs made Mike's Way® with the freshest vegetables – onions, lettuce and tomatoes – topped off with an exquisite zing of "the juice" – red wine vinegar and olive oil blended to perfection. Jersey Mike's premium meats and cheeses are sliced on the spot, piled high on in-store baked bread and served up with a helping of neighborly banter from a dedicated and high-energy team.
The restaurant's hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week. You can contact this location directly at
