Jersey Mike's Opens First Bellevue Location
Owner and Operator Celebrate With Free Sub Fundraiser
August 15, 2014 // Franchising.com // Bellevue, NE - Jersey Mike's Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Bellevue on July 30. Franchise owner Jeff Marcotte and director of operations Ross Olsbo held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, July 30 to Sunday, August 3 to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) of Nebraska.
The new restaurant, located at 10110 South 15th Street, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $2 contribution to the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Nebraska.
"Bellevue is a wonderful, tight-knit community and we are grateful for this opportunity to introduce the Jersey Mike's brand here," said Marcotte. "At Jersey Mike's we're committed to giving back to our community and this starts with our grand opening fundraiser. For the first five days that our shop is open, we will team up with the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Nebraska. Our goal is to support our community in as many ways as possible and we hope to create countless lasting relationships throughout the years."
Marcotte added, "We're fortunate to be located near the Offutt Air Force Base where we can serve another segment of our community. Part of our charitable giving programs will certainly be geared toward members of the Air Force Base and their families and we look forward to serving this population of residents."
Angie Connell, Executive Director for MDA of Nebraska commented, "Our organization serves 1,200 families in the immediate area that are affected by Muscular Dystrophy. MDA provides support to our clients through clinics, support groups, medical equipment loans, research, and a special week-long summer camp for children ages 6-17.
