Jersey Mike's Opens First Deerfield Beach Location
Restaurant Operator Celebrates With Free Sub Fundraiser
September 3, 2014 - Deerfield Beach, FL - Jersey Mike's Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Deerfield Beach on August 20. Restaurant operator Steve Leger held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, August 20 to Sunday, August 31 to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County.
The new restaurant, located at 1069 East Hillsboro Boulevard, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a generous donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County.
"Jersey Mike's was my first job as a teenager in 2008," said Leger. "In the past several years I've had the opportunity to see the company grow and even met with Founder and CEO Peter Cancro. It's great to be a part of a company culture that promotes growth from within and young entrepreneurship. I'm grateful for this new position as restaurant manager, and I'm excited to be a part of the Deerfield Beach community."
Leger added, "At Jersey Mike's we believe in making a difference for others. For every new location that's opened, we always incorporate a community fundraiser. In Deerfield Beach we are raising money for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County to help fund programs and activities for our local youth."
The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs is to "enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens."
