September 18, 2014 // Franchising.com // O'Fallon, MO - Jersey Mike's Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in O'Fallon on September 10. Franchise owners Tammy and Daniel Nolan held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, September 10 to Sunday, September 14 to support Ft. Zumwalt West High School Grad Night.
The new restaurant, located at 2508 Highway K, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to Ft. Zumwalt West High School Grad Night.
"We're so excited to open our first Jersey Mike's location in O'Fallon," said Tammy Nolan. "I was searching for a new business opportunity when I happened to have lunch at Jersey Mike's in Chesterfield for the first time. Everything about the experience was top notch. My sub, a #7 turkey and provolone, was delicious and the atmosphere was so friendly and welcoming. The very next day I was on the phone finding out information about franchising."
Tammy added, "Less than six months later, with the help of the entire Jersey Mike's network, we are gearing up to open our doors. It's tradition at Jersey Mike's to kick off the opening with a fundraiser for a local organization. We decided to team up with Ft. Zumwalt West High School to support the Grad Night program. Two of our daughters attended Ft. Zumwalt West and we couldn't think of a better way to give back to our community. One of the things we love most about Jersey Mike's is the company culture of making a difference. We truly look forward to many more opportunities to reach out and support our neighbors and community."
The Nolans are exemplary Jersey Mike's franchise owners who share the company's commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, and who are dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, Jersey Mike's locations throughout the country have raised nearly $10 million for worthy local charities and have distributed more than 750,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.
Started in 1956, Jersey Mike's now has 1,300 restaurants open and under development nationwide. In just three years, the company has nearly doubled in size. A 2014 Technomic report ranked Jersey Mike's in the top five fastest-growing restaurant chains with sales above $200 million.
The growth is fueled by passionate Jersey Mike's fans who crave their subs made Mike's Way® with the freshest vegetables – onions, lettuce and tomatoes – topped off with an exquisite zing of "the juice" – red wine vinegar and olive oil blended to perfection. Jersey Mike's premium meats and cheeses are sliced on the spot, piled high on in-store baked bread and served up with a helping of neighborly banter from a dedicated and high-energy team.
This is the first Jersey Mike's location for the Nolans.
