September 18, 2014 // Franchising.com // Tucson, AZ - Jersey Mike's Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Tucson on September 10. Franchise owners and siblings Bob and Rosey Gregory held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, September 10 to Sunday, September 14 to support Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Tucson.
The new restaurant, located at 3400 East Speedway Boulevard, Suite 124, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $2 contribution to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Tucson.
"My sister Rosey and I are honored to be a part of the Jersey Mike's family and for the opportunity to bring Jersey Mike's to the Tucson area," said Gregory. "Opening the first of multiple locations in the market creates many outlets for us to give back to our communities. We have chosen Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Tucson as our charity partner for our grand opening because we feel strongly about their work with our youth and because they exemplify the Jersey Mike's way of giving back and making a difference in someone's life."
The Gregorys are exemplary Jersey Mike's franchise owners who share the company's commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, and who are dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, Jersey Mike's locations throughout the country have raised nearly $10 million for worthy local charities and have distributed more than 750,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.
Started in 1956, Jersey Mike's now has 1,300 restaurants open and under development nationwide. In just three years, the company has nearly doubled in size. A 2014 Technomic report ranked Jersey Mike's in the top five fastest-growing restaurant chains with sales above $200 million.
The growth is fueled by passionate Jersey Mike's fans who crave their subs made Mike's Way® with the freshest vegetables – onions, lettuce and tomatoes – topped off with an exquisite zing of "the juice" – red wine vinegar and olive oil blended to perfection. Jersey Mike's premium meats and cheeses are sliced on the spot, piled high on in-store baked bread and served up with a helping of neighborly banter from a dedicated and high-energy team.
The restaurant's hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week. You can contact this location directly at
