Jersey Mike's Subs Opens Third Plano Location

Owners Celebrate With Free Sub Fundraiser

September 30, 2014 - Plano, TX - Jersey Mike's Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Plano on September 24. Franchise owners Drew and Staci Sutton held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, September 24 to Sunday, September 28 to support Plano Sports Authority.

The new restaurant, located at 7120 Coit Road, circulated 5,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to Plano Sports Authority.

"I came across Jersey Mike's while living in Nashville," said Drew Sutton. "There was a shop close to my church and every Sunday on my way home, I would grab a sub to eat while watching football. Needless to say, I was always impressed by the quality of the product and service I received. Down the road, when my wife, Staci, and I were considering starting a business, she had the idea to pursue the opportunity with Jersey Mike's."

Sutton added, "At Jersey Mike's, it's tradition to open each location with a community fundraiser. As a former athlete, I know firsthand the impact that sports can have on a child's future. For that reason, we teamed up with the Plano Sports Authority to help fund scholarships that make it possible for more children to participate in youth sports."

Drew Sutton is a former professional baseball player for various major league teams including the Cincinnati Reds and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Sutton played for 10 years and had the opportunity to travel to many U.S. cities where he enjoyed stopping in at Jersey Mike's along the way.
