Jersey Mike's Subs Opens First Location in Norwalk

Owners Celebrate With Free Sub Fundraiser

October 22, 2014 - Norwalk, CT - Jersey Mike's Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Norwalk on October 15. Franchise owner Brian Kelley of Paradigm Investments and co-owner and area director Troy Davidson held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, October 15 to Sunday, October 19 to support the Connecticut Sports Foundation (CSF) and the BraveCort Foundation.

The new restaurant, located at 360 Connecticut Avenue, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to CSF or the BraveCort Foundation.

CSF was founded in 1987 by 27-year cancer survivor and former New York Yankee, John Ellis. CSF is a unique organization in Connecticut that provides funds to Connecticut cancer patients for rent/mortgage, utilities, transportation, medications and more. Patients are referred to CSF via a network of oncology social workers at Connecticut hospitals and cancer centers. Resources are provided with dignity and privacy, helping patients maintain self-respect while lessening the stress that may inhibit their recovery.

The BraveCort Foundation was founded by Brian and Andrea Kelley in memory of their son Cort. BraveCort focuses its efforts on research in the field of childhood cancer.
