HoneyBaked and Feeding America Continue Partnership to Give to Those in Need

Honeybaked Strives to Donate Two Million Meals this Holiday Season to Help Eliminate Hunger

ATLANTA - Nov. 20, 2014 // PRNewswire // - In the midst of its busiest season of the year, HoneyBaked, known for its premium ham and turkey breasts with sweet, crunchy glaze, is giving back. As customers visit HoneyBaked stores to purchase their holiday meals, they can also help HoneyBaked achieve their goal of donating two million meals** this holiday season. In their fourth consecutive year of partnership with Feeding America®, HoneyBaked stores will accept register donations, 100 percent of which will be donated to Feeding America, the nation's largest domestic hunger-relief organization.

"More than 49 million people in the U.S. live in food-insecure households," said Maggie DeCan, HoneyBaked* President and COO. "As a company whose mission is 'Celebrating life, one meal at a time,' we feel that we have a responsibility to help those struggling with hunger, especially during this special time of year."

In recognition of this great need, HoneyBaked kicked off the holiday season with a celebration of giving back to their local communities during the first week in November. HoneyBaked general managers in four markets presented their local Feeding America member food banks with more than 17,000 pounds of Ham and Turkey, plus an additional gift of a holiday meal to staff members at these organizations who are working so hard to serve others this holiday season.
