Franchise owner James Sirotnak held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, December 17 to Sunday, December 21 to support the Bear Creek Community Charter School.
The new restaurant, located at 313 Bear Creek Boulevard, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $2 contribution to the Bear Creek Elementary School.
"I've been a fan of Jersey Mike's since having my first sub while on vacation in Myrtle Beach," said Sirotnak. "It was the best sub I'd ever tasted, and I knew we needed this product in Northeast Pennsylvania. For many years I planned road trips and vacations around pit-stops at Jersey Mike's and it's so exciting to finally bring these authentic subs to Wilkes-Barre."
Sirotnak added, "At Jersey Mike's it's tradition to give back to the community through a 5-day grand opening fundraiser. We've teamed up with the Bear Creek Community Charter School to help support activities and programs for students.
