David Cox of ARCOP Receives 2014 Grassroots Award from the National Council of Chain Restaurants

January 14, 2015 // Franchising.com // ATLANTA – The National Council of Chain Restaurants (NCCR) presented the prestigious 2014 Grassroots Award to David Cox, President of ARCOP, Inc., the national supply chain cooperative for Arby's Restaurant Group, Inc. The award recognizes NCCR members who go above and beyond the call of duty in advocating for the industry's priorities before Congress. Cox was presented the award at a NCCR meeting in New York City this week.

"David Cox has been a true industry leader on the important issue of the Renewable Fuel Standard's ethanol mandate and its direct impact on commodity costs for chain restaurants," said Rob Green, executive director of NCCR. "Over the course of the NCCR campaign, he and members of his team have repeatedly visited lawmakers on Capitol Hill to share information about the RFS' negative consequences on chain restaurants and thousands of small business franchisees. His dedication is recognized by his industry peers and this award is very well-deserved."

"I am truly honored to receive the Grassroots award from NCCR," said Cox. "It remains critical for our industry to be actively represented among Congress to ensure our voice is being heard and issues are being appropriately addressed."

Cox currently serves on NCCR's Food Supply Chain Committee. The NCCR is a division of the National Retail Federation.
