Stay Warm with Smokin' Hot Dickey's Barbecue Pit Grand Opening in Downers Grove

January 20, 2015 // Franchising.com // Downers Grove, IL - Throw on your scarf and gloves and get over to Dickey's Barbecue Pit on Thursday, January 22 at 11 a.m., for a three day grand opening party. Downers Grove will have a reason to fight the cold when the new Texas barbecue chain serves up its famous smoked brisket, pulled pork and ribs.

The three day grand opening celebration includes:

  • Thursday, the first 50 dine-in guests receive gift cards worth up to $50. 
  • Friday guests can stop by for all day Dickey's Barbecue merchandise giveaways.
  • Saturday from noon to 2 p.m., radio station 94.7 WLS-FM will join the party and one lucky winner will be chosen for a $500 gift card and three winners will receive free barbecue for an entire year. Also, guests can get a deal with $2 pulled pork barbecue sandwiches.

"Authentic barbecue is hard to find here in Illinois and people deserve to know what slow-smoked barbecue tastes like," said local owner, Kote Nallapati. "When we researched franchises, we read about Dickey's Barbecue Pit and knew it would be a great addition to the area."

The local owners and longtime friends include Kote Nallapati, Chandrasekhar Valeti and Anesh Pillai. All three reside in nearby Naperville and are software engineers.
