King's Hawaiian Fish Deluxe – Inspired by Arby's Team Member Now Available Nationwide

January 27, 2015 // Franchising.com // ATLANTA – Brandon Morris, a franchise team member from Danville, KY Arby's , was recently honored as the winner of the Hey Chef Neville! contest, an Arby's system-wide menu idea submission contest. Brandon's winning idea, the King's Hawaiian Fish Deluxe sandwich, is offered at restaurants nationwide as a special item now through March. In addition to his winning idea making it onto the Arby's menu, Morris was recognized at Arby's 2014 Worldwide Franchise Convention in Las Vegas, presented with an award trophy, a $1,500 check and an official Arby's chef jacket.

"I am thrilled that Arby's responded so well to my idea for the King's Hawaiian Fish Deluxe sandwich," said Brandon Morris. "The Classic Fish sandwich is a big hit among our guests, so I thought what better way to make a popular sandwich even better than to add a sweet, flaky King's Hawaiian® bun."

The King's Hawaiian Fish Deluxe sandwich features a generous fillet of breaded, sustainably sourced Alaskan Pollack, lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese, Hawaiian pickle, and a King's Hawaiian bun. Arby's worked with the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute to offer this new variation of the chain's beloved Classic Fish sandwich, This special item is part of the chain's FlavorFULL™ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) effort and continued commitment to providing innovative, quality products while also using sustainable resources.

Additionally, guests have the opportunity to pair their fish sandwich with Arby's delicious new Jalapeno Hushpuppies, which are also being featured as a special menu item now through March. The new Jalapeño Hushpuppies are crispy, bite sized hushpuppies made with sweet corn and diced jalapeño.

The Hey Chef Neville! Program at Arby's was inspired by Corporate Executive Chef, Neville Craw, and his team in Product Development & Innovation to solicit ideas for new products from the entire Arby's system, including: front-line team members, franchisees, Support Center employees, and field operations. The program continues to evolve with over 1,200 ideas submitted on average each year.
