Sport Clips Haircuts Tops Franchise Gator Ranking, Second Year Running

February 10, 2015 // // GEORGETOWN, Texas - Sport Clips Haircuts has once again received the top spot in the "Top 100 Franchises 2015" Franchise Gator ranking. Franchise Gator, one of the largest directories of franchise and business opportunities on the internet, uses its research "to measure the quality of a franchise system over time," and its "rankings are mostly based on a formula created from various pieces of the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD)," according to the site. Franchise Gator looked at "franchise opportunities that fit the mold of what a typical Franchise Gator visitor seeks" and placed primary focus for the ranking on:

  • Financial stability
  • Growth
  • Transparency
  • Engagement
  • Continuity

"Sport Clips is honored to be ranked first by Franchise Gator for a second year. We work very hard to provide superior support and training to our Team Leaders (franchisees), and we are continually looking for ways to improve our systems," says Gordon Logan, founder and CEO of Sport Clips Haircuts. "The result of these efforts is that, in the past four years, we have opened more than 550 locations and now have over 1,300 stores open. Since 2010, only four have closed nationwide – and two of those were in centers that had gone downhill and those leases weren't renewed. We always put the success and profitability of our Team Leaders first, which has produced same store sales increases of seven – 10 percent each year for the past five years. We're looking forward to a successful 2015!"

Sport Clips will open in its 50th U.S. state (Maine) in the next few months. For more information about Sport Clips franchise opportunities, visit
