CEO and Chairman of Staffing Company Named Man of the Year for Oklahoma

Under Bob Funk's leadership, Express Employment Professionals wins Best of Staffing Diamond Award from Inavero for second consecutive year.

OKLAHOMA CITY (PRWEB) February 18, 2015 - Bob Funk, CEO and chairman of the board for Express Employment Professionals, has been named Man of the Year by IMPACT OKC Magazine for his lifetime impact and contributions to Oklahoma City and the state.

Funk will receive the honor on Thursday, Feb. 19, at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club. The event begins at 6 p.m. with a silent auction fundraiser; followed by a recognition dinner at 7 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit at-risk youth in Oklahoma through Youth for Christ and the Oklahoma Youth Expo, the largest junior livestock show in Oklahoma.

"Anyone who is from Oklahoma knows that Mr. Funk's contributions to Oklahoma and our great state are phenomenal," said Brian Hill, director of IMPACT OKC Magazine. "It's a privilege to honor him as Man of the Year."

Funk has served on various Oklahoma boards and committees including Oklahoma Blue Cross Blue Shield, National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, Greater Oklahoma City Chamber, Oklahoma Youth Expo, Oklahoma Baptist University and Oklahoma Independent College Foundation.

Under Funk's leadership, Express has put more than 6 million people to work in the U.S., Canada and South Africa. And, with the 30 locations in Oklahoma, Express put nearly 21,000 Oklahomans to work in 2014 in a variety of industries, including commercial, administrative and medical. In the same week Funk is named Man of the Year, the staffing company won Inavero's Best of Staffing® Client Award for providing superior service to their clients.
