Rita’s to Serve an Extra Dose of Happiness to Valleyfair Guests

Nation’s Largest Italian Ice Concept Expands in Minnesota with Two Stores at the Valleyfair Amusement Park

TREVOSE, Pa. (PRWEB) April 14, 2015 - Rita's Italian Ice, the world’s largest Italian Ice concept with more than 600 stores, announced it will make its debut at Valleyfair Family Amusement Park in Shakopee, Minn. on May 15, 2015 when the park officially opens for the season. The two store locations are led by Rita’s franchise area developers, Adam and Angela Ailloni, who were awarded the agreement for the expansion and development of Minnesota in April 2014.

“We’re excited to bring yet another Rita’s location to the Twin Cities,” said Adam Ailloni. “Our first location has already proven to be successful in this market and we expect the same for amusement park guests who are looking for an extra dose of happiness. We can’t wait to get scooping!”

Beginning this season, Rita’s will have two locations at Valleyfair and will offer guests a full menu of “ice, custard and happiness.” The two locations are strategically located in high-traffic areas of the park: along Route 76, Valleyfair’s newest main street inspired by the year Valleyfair was opened; as well as in the Triple Treats building, which will completely transform into a full Rita’s store, located at the entrance of the newly expanded Soak City Waterpark.

The new Valleyfair locations are part of the Ailloni’s larger plans for expansion throughout the Twin Cities, which call for 20 stores by 2020. The couple’s first Rita’s opened at Diffley Marketplace in Eagan, Minn. in the summer of 2014 and they’re currently seeking franchisees to open subsequent locations throughout the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.
