Louisville Scores Second Dickey’s Barbecue Pit Location this Thursday

June 01, 2015 // Franchising.com // Louisville, KY - Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is set to open its second Louisville area location on Thursday, June 4 at 11 a.m. The fast casual barbecue joint will celebrate with a three day grand opening event. The fun kicks off with the first 50 partygoers receiving gift cards worth up to $50.

“The Robinsons have been valuable owner operators taking our brand to Louisville,” said Roland Dickey, Jr., CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “I look forward to their success as they open their new location.”

On Friday, guests can grab free t-shirts, koozies, sunglasses and more with all day merchandise giveaways. On Saturday, radio station 102.3 The Max is onsite from noon to 2 p.m. and the new location is serving up $2 pulled pork barbecue sandwiches. During the event, one lucky winner will be chosen for a $500 gift card and three winners will receive free barbecue for an entire year.

“I’ve loved being a part of the Dickey’s Barbecue Pit family,” said local owner operator, David Robinson. “Dickey’s Barbecue was the perfect franchise for me and my family and we’re looking forward to opening our second location.”

Robinson is a certified registered nurse anesthetist and resides in Louisville with his family. His first Dickey’s Barbecue Pit location opened in June 2014 at 285 North Hubbards Lane.
