Jersey Mike's Subs Opens First Omaha Location
Owner Celebrates With Free Sub Fundraiser
June 16, 2015 // Franchising.com // Omaha, NE - Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Omaha on June 10. Franchise owner Jeff Marcotte and operating partner Gary George, held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, June 10 to Sunday, June 14 to support Food Bank for the Heartland.
The new restaurant, located at 1303 S. 72nd St., circulated 12,500 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $2 contribution to Food Bank for the Heartland.
“We are proud to be associated with Jersey Mike’s Subs as they not only offer a high quality product, but also a great corporate culture. We are looking forward to serving our community for many years to come,” said Marcotte, whose favorite sub is the #13 The Original Italian.
“It’s important to give back and we are committed to making a difference in our community,” said George. “For this grand opening, we have partnered up with Food Bank for the Heartland.
It has a mobile pantry that delivers food free of charge directly to people who are in need of assistance. With the school year coming to an end, this is an excellent time for us to help support the food bank since many students rely on the school meal programs.” George’s favorite sub is the #43 Chipotle Cheese Steak.
