June 22, 2015 // Franchising.com // Weymouth, Mass. - The Maui Wowi Hawaiian franchise, specializing in premium coffee and fruit smoothies, recently signed a new franchisee who was looking to add to her already thriving entrepreneurial career with something fun and exciting. Karlyn Montanari of Weymouth, Massachusetts has become the latest to join the growing franchise in search of a more fulfilling future.
Already a successful entrepreneur working as an aesthetician, independence and flexibility are important values to Montanari. She was looking to continue working while adding a new and exciting business on the side that she could do during the summer and on weekends.
“I wanted something I could do myself and the way Maui Wowi operates was perfect for what I was looking for,” said Montanari. “I wanted to be my own boss and do my own thing on my own time. This works perfectly because I can completely schedule this on my own terms.”
Located outside of Boston, Montanari looks to satisfy the community’s thirst for coffee. She is aware that health and wellness play a big part in daily life and she is confident the smoothies will be a crowd pleaser.
“I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews about the drinks and they were all five star reviews. People were really addicted to them.”
Montanari was attracted to the simplicity of the concept and will be starting out with the company’s popular mobile business model known as the Ka’anapali Cart. The transportable tiki hut style unit can set up shop at events, festivals, and venues to serve freshly blended smoothies and high quality Hawaiian grown coffee.
Since 1982, Maui Wowi Hawaiian has embraced the Hawaiian culture and has been serving paradise in a cup since the day it began, over 30 years ago. From event carts, mall kiosks and stand-alone retail locations, Maui Wowi Hawaiian offers premium, all-natural, gluten-free, fresh-fruit smoothies, as well as gourmet Hawaiian coffees and espresso beverages. The company maintains strong community involvement through fundraising efforts by its franchisees, in addition to Team Karma; an initiative that promotes corporate responsibility and giving back to the community. The brand has more than 450 operating units in seven countries and an online store, shop.mauiwowi.com.
