Franchise owners Robert Messih and James McGaha, held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, July 1 to Sunday, July 5, to support Bend High School.
The new restaurant, located at 222 N.E. Emerson Ave., circulated 7,500 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to Bend High School.
“We are excited to announce the July 1st grand opening of our second Bend location with a new restaurant located at 3rd & Franklin Streets in the Walgreens Plaza,” said McGaha. “This Eastside location will complement our existing Westside restaurant on S.W. Century Drive and we will continue our efforts to give back and support great causes in our neighborhoods. For this grand opening, we hope to rally the Bend community to come out during this period to help us raise money for Bend High School.
“Both of our Jersey Mike’s Subs restaurants in Bend are locally owned and operated; and we greatly appreciate the tremendous support of our customers,” McGaha said. “During our first eight months of operations at our S.W. Century Drive location, we were able to raise thousands of dollars for such well deserving organizations as Cascade Youth and Family Services, Summit High School and numerous other local groups. We look forward to continuing to support our community partners for years to come.”
