Jersey Mike's Subs Opens First Salem Location
Owners Celebrate With Free Sub Fundraiser
September 08, 2015 // Franchising.com // Salem, OR - Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Salem on September 2. Franchise owners Joseph Karcher and Cathleen Karcher, along with District manager Beth Teske, held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, September 2 to Sunday, September 6 to support two local high schools.
The new restaurant, located at 4425 Commercial Street S.E., circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $2 contribution to Sprague High School and South Salem High School.
“For this grand opening we chose to partner up with our local high schools,” said Joseph Karcher. “The Salem community is a great fit for what we do at Jersey Mike’s. For the first five days we are open we are raising money for Sprague High School and South Salem High School. Our goal is to make a positive impact on the community by supporting local student programs and activities.” Teske is an alumni of South Salem High School and proud to be able to give back to her alma mater.
The Karchers and Teske are exemplary Jersey Mike’s franchise owners who share the company’s commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, and who are dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised nearly $13 million for worthy local charities and have distributed more than 1 million free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes. This year, the company’s 5th Annual Jersey Mike’s Month of Giving in March raised more than $3 million for 150 local charities throughout the country.
