October 09, 2015 // Franchising.com // BIRMINGHAM, MICHIGAN – Construction has begun on the latest Goldfish Swim School in Cleveland, Ohio which will become Goldfish’s 29th location in the U.S. Fifteen additional locations are scheduled to break ground early next year and the company has engaged several other franchisees with the desire to open schools of their own across the United States and, potentially, internationally. The company has experienced exponential growth since the opening of their first franchise location in 2009.
The franchise organization's proprietary systems, developed by Goldfish founders Jenny and Chris McCuiston, provide developmentally appropriate water safety and swimming lessons in a safe, kid-friendly and fun environment. The Goldfish team prides itself on teaching children ages four months to 12 years to swim in a unique, tropical setting with highly trained and certified instructors, small class sizes (max 4:1 student to teacher ratio), 90-degree pools and a state-of-the-art chlorine generation system.
This unique approach has attracted families and investors alike, propelling Goldfish’s growth across the country.
“Our goal from the beginning has been to create a fun, engaging environment where children can learn skills they will keep for a lifetime,” says Chris McCuiston, co-founder of Goldfish Swim School. “When we expanded into Farmington Hills, Michigan with our first franchise location, it was wildly successful and people took notice. Now we are growing faster than ever before. We believe we have the best people, teaching methods and facilities around and we’re excited to share it all with more families in new markets around the country.”
“We offer our franchisees a turnkey opportunity by providing in-depth training, support and expertise every step of the way,” says Andrew McCuiston, Vice President, Goldfish Swim School Franchising. “Goldfish offers an attractive business model because of the potential to build a business based on a valuable life lesson every child needs and no one should go without – water safety.”
As Goldfish continues to grow, both franchisees and families will benefit from the concept and systems that the McCuistons have developed and continuously improve.
