October 30, 2015 // Franchising.com // LOS ANGELES – Sky Zone Trampoline Park in Las Vegas hosted 48 pro-level teams from around the world in the ultimate dodgeball showdown this past weekend. Teams from all over the United States, Canada and Australia took part in the fourth Annual Ultimate Dodgeball Championship for an opportunity to win $50,000 in cash prizes – the largest winners pot in the sport of dodgeball – and be crowned this year’s ultimate dodgeball champion.
This four-day action-packed competition, held from October 15 to October 18, tested the skill and agility of even the most advanced ultimate dodgeball players with over 300 round robin and single-elimination matches played out over the course of this exciting weekend. The competition culminated on the final day of the tournament as the “Final 8” teams who succeeded in climbing the ranks battled it out on the courts for a piece of the coveted cash prize. Also streamed live in HD at www.livstream.com/skyzone, Sunday’s final tournaments had dodgeball fans around the world on the edge of their seat. After a long and extremely competitive dodgeball journey, Team Awesome from Sky Zone Gaithersburg demonstrated their agile moves and swift teamwork to reign as victors and were awarded with $20,000 in cash prizes and the ultimate dodgeball championship title. The Shootas from Sky Zone Everett also showed promise with their nimble skills and came in second place with $10,000. Team Dynasty and Crysis came in third and fourth places, each winning $4,500. The four remaining teams, Dave’s Ducks, Team Black, German Meat, and Bricksquad each won $2,750 in cash prizes.
