BrightStar Care Launches New National TV Campaign Directed by Sasha Levinson
Addresses Fast Growing Aging In Place Trend Among Boomers
Leading National In-Home Healthcare Franchise Highlights its Higher Standard of Care in New Commercial
November 02, 2015 // Franchising.com // CHICAGO - BrightStar Care, a national in-home care and medical staffing franchise, introduced a new national TV campaign that addresses one of the biggest issues facing families today – caring for aging family members.
A 30-second spot demonstrates the benefits of high-quality in-home healthcare for aging seniors, and depicts an emotional family homecoming. The spot running in highly rated programming features a brother, sister and daughter arriving at their grandmother’s house for her 83rd birthday where they are greeted by a well-cared for woman and a BrightStar Care professional caregiver. The ad also features the unique role that the BrightStar Care Registered Nurse Director of Nursing plays in creating and overseeing a plan of care for each individual client, a service that no other private duty home care provider offers.
“This TV advertising campaign is incredibly impactful because it addresses a topic that is very relatable for people with aging loved ones,” said Steve Schildwachter, BrightStar Care Chief Marketing Officer. “No one else can tell this story the way we can because of our higher standard of care to those who need it most. We wanted to visualize the fact that BrightStar Care is a company that aims to improve both the life of the person requiring the care and the lives of their family members.”
Havas Worldwide StratFarm, a division of Havas Health, developed the campaign. The spot was directed by Sasha Levinson, best known for her highly narrative style, and was produced by Humble Studios in New York. “Homecoming” was created by Havas’ Tom Keener and Chris Jarrin and written from the family caregivers’ perspective.
“It is our honor to work on this business,” said Laurel Rossi, President, Havas Worldwide StratFarm. “BrightStar Care has disrupted the way we care for our most precious family members because of its high level of accreditation and skilled oversight. BrightStar Care is a company that we will be hearing a lot about as the population ages and busy far-flung families try to juggle the confusing maze of needs that are long-lasting and ever-expanding.”
Shelly Sun, BrightStar Care CEO and co-founder, built the only private duty in-home care and medical staffing franchise that requires its locations to pursue and obtain Joint Commission Accreditation. The TV campaign points out that Joint Commission Accreditation is the same accreditation earned by the country’s best hospitals. For three consecutive years, The Joint Commission awarded BrightStar Care the Enterprise Champion for Quality Award, making BrightStar Care the only national home care franchise to receive this distinction every year since the award’s inception. This honor sets BrightStar Care apart from other home care providers.
“The heart of the story that the commercial tells is that the family wanted to let mom live comfortably and safely at home,” said Schildwachter. “As the Baby Boomer generation grows older, ‘aging in place’ becomes a more popular option. We want them to know that they can age comfortably in their own homes while still receiving the trustworthy, quality care that they need.”
